Carl received what may have been his second Kappa Chapter Distinguished Service Key in 1986 ot 1987.
He was the Chapter Pledge Class Namesake in Spring 1985 and the National Pledge Class Namesake in Fall 1989
He served as Kappa Chapter's first Grand Master immediately after the chapter's founding, and later as the first elected Deputy Supreme Grand Master from 1931 to 1932.
According to the national history book, he was instrumental in founding the Greater Pittsburgh Alpha Phi Omega Alumni Association.
